Health Resources and Services Administration has released two new reports on health care workforce that policy makers may find helpful.
The first report analyzes supply and demand projections for Primary Care Practitioners through 2020. The report projects the need for an additional 240,000 FTE providers by 2020, a 14% increase. Read the report here.
The second report is the publication of the U.S. Health Workforce Chartbook. This publication provides data on 35 health occupations using the Standard Occupational Classification system and represents 10% of the entire nation’s workforoce. Read more here.
