Michigan Health Council Announces Updates to Board of Trustees

The Michigan Health Council (MHC) proudly announces updates to its Board of Trustees, welcoming new members and leadership appointments for 2025. These changes reflect MHC’s continued commitment to fostering healthcare workforce development across Michigan.


New Board Members

MHC welcomes two distinguished professionals to its Board of Trustees:

  1. Celena Mills, Director, Office of Career & Technical Education at the Michigan Department of Education. With over two decades of experience in career and technical education, Mills has been a strong advocate for workforce development and educational innovation​.

  2. Ane McNeil, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Trinity Health. McNeil brings 25 years of expertise in human resources leadership, with a track record of driving organizational change, workforce development, and diversity initiatives​.


New Leadership Appointments

Several board members have stepped into new leadership roles, further strengthening MHC’s mission:

  1. Chair: Duke Anderson, President/Chief Executive Officer Emeritus and Healthcare Consultant.

  2. Chair-Elect: Angela Celeste May, PhD, President, A.M. May & Associates. Dr. May is a clinical, organizational, and forensic psychologist, author, consultant, educator, and public speaker with a strong commitment to community well-being​.

  3. Treasurer: Darryl Washington, Chief Strategy Officer at Northern Lakes Community Mental Health.

  4. Secretary: Dominick Pallone, Executive Director at Michigan Association of Health Plans (returning to the role).

  5. Immediate Past Chairperson: Michael J. Bouthillier, BS, PharmD, Pharmacy Specialist and Emeriti Associate Professor at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy.


These board members will play a critical role in guiding MHC’s mission to ensure the future of the healthcare workforce.
