Looking Back and to the Future

In 2010, we worked with Public Sector Consultants to produce a report examining how the then recently passed Affordable Care Act would impact Michigan’s health care workforce.

How does this report read today?

On the eve of broader implementation of the Affordable Care Act, we will be reexamining these same issues. At the last Michigan Health Council Board of Trustees meeting, we discussed how the ACA will impact our work and our partners at the MHC.

Over the next few months we will be featuring perspectives from a wide range of stakeholders on changes they anticipate from the Affordable Care Act.

Our first perspective will be from Dianne Conrad, DNP, who is a clinical nursing faculty at Grand Valley State University’s School of Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner at Cadillac Family Physicians in Cadillac, Michigan.

Stay tuned for more information on this series or sign up for our monthly MHC News Briefs here.
