Trauma Toolbox for Primary Care
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood and are associated with developing chronic health problems, mental illness, and substance misuse later in life. The American Academy of Pediatrics produced the Trauma Toolbox for Primary Care, a web-based resource designed to increase primary care providers understanding of ACEs and develop skills needed to discuss exposure to ACEs with families. The project was funded through a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health. Learn more here.
