Description
The NFLP program seeks to increase the number of qualified nursing faculty nationwide by providing low interest loans for individuals studying to be nurse faculty and loan cancelation for those who then go on to work as faculty. A robust, geographically dispersed nurse faculty workforce is essential to producing the nursing workforce needed to meet US health care needs. SU's NFLP has been successfully continuing for the past 12 years. It targets the clinical priority of transforming the workforce by preparing nurse educators at the doctoral level. They have two paths to doctoral preparation, the DNP and the PhD.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
