Description
The Michigan Health Sciences Pre-College Exposure Academy (SPEA) is a free summer program for high school students who are interested in medicine, biomedical research or health equity. The purpose of SPEA is to develop future leaders in health sciences by helping high schoolers who are from historically marginalized populations and/or underserved communities become prepared for studying at the collegiate level. SPEA operates in a hybrid format: Mondays - Thursdays are virtual and consist of an SAT prep course along with interactive professional development opportunities; Fridays are in-person and consist of on-campus activities.
Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
