Training individuals to work in a healthcare profession
Description
The Health Center Careers Training Program a Statewide program that helps Community Health Centers (CHCs) expand and retain their workforce. It provides funding for a variety of resources to allow CHCs to bring in their own hires. The MPCA trains the individuals selected by the CHCs to work in non-degree healthcare occupations which are dental assistants, medical assistants and community health . This program is federally funded and trained more than 300 people since its inception. The program term ends at the end of 2026 and MPCA is working on securing funding for its continuation.
