Description

MDHHS has funded a Statewide EMS workforce training grant program for 2023. The purposes of these grant funds are for organizations to increase the number of people trained in EMS to address the critical shortage of paramedics Statewide and to increase accessibility to EMS education programming, specifically paramedic programs in Michigan. MDHHS has identified three use-cases for programs to utilize the grant funding: 1) to cover tuition and fees of paramedic training of $20,000 per student; 2) to reimburse paramedic students $15/hour for time spent in EMS training programs and 3) to expand access to EMS education in underserved areas of Michigan, including 20% of funding for rural areas. MDHHS allocated $9 million of funding to award to around 60 programs / organizations.

Michigan Health Council does not administer all of the programs in this database. Please see the "organizations involved" above to learn who you should contact for more information.
